Viewsat Ultra Lite has the great advanced user friendly features like the viewsat ultra but at a lite cheap price. In order to accomplish this, Viewsat took the Viewsat Ultra and trimmed the fat. Viewsat Ultra Lite does not include a card reader or Dolby output. Standard remote included. the Viewsat Ultra Lite is just as user friendly and powerful as it's big brother the Viewsat Ultra. Viewsat Ultra Lite was developed to meet the demand for a lower priced but yet powerful receiver, with features such as USB host support, firmware blind scanning, support for C/Ku-bands and various LNB polarities, USALS controls, and many more. The Ultra Lite is similar to the Viewsat Platinum Lite. However, it is more compact and supports software upgrades via a USB port. UltraLite is ideal for dorms or bedrooms that are not connected to elaborate home theater systems. It can be connected to a television through the S-video, composite outputs or RF modulated coax. It comes with a simple easy-to-use universal remote control and it is just as user friendly as all other Viewsat receivers.

TheViewsat Ultra Lite runs the same CPU as the VS Lite but with more memory to deliver up to a 3 day EPG. Its GUI is the same as you expect from the VS Ultra. While it does have less features then the Ultra (no component video output, no optical output for digital audio and a rear USB 2.0 Port instead of a front USB Port) it still packs enough to account for its affordable price and is backed by the Viewsat 2 year warranty.. The VS Ultra Lite takes its own special firmware and is not compatible with the VS Lite or VS Ultra.

The Viewsat Ultra Lite outperforms the Viewsat Extreme, Viewsat Platinum and Viewsat Lite.
